Depositing & Funding

Funding happens entirely on your exchange, not on Liquid Edge. You deposit to your own exchange account, and Liquid Edge trades that balance through a trade-only API key. There is no Liquid Edge wallet to deposit into — by design.

Where your funds live#

Your capital sits in your own account on the connected exchange (for example Bitunix). Liquid Edge never receives, holds, or moves your funds; it only places orders on the account you control. See Custodial vs Non-Custodial Trading.

How to fund the account#

  1. Deposit on your exchange. Send crypto (or complete a supported fiat on-ramp) to your exchange account using the exchange's own deposit page.
  2. Place funds in the right wallet. Exchanges separate spot and futures balances. Move funds into the wallet your strategy will trade — futures strategies need a funded futures/derivatives balance.
  3. Confirm the balance is free. Make sure the balance isn't fully tied up in existing positions or orders, or a strategy won't have margin to trade with.

Withdrawing#

You withdraw the same way you deposited — directly on your exchange. Liquid Edge is not involved and cannot move funds in either direction. If you ever want to stop trading, you can pause or kill your strategies and/or revoke the API key, and your balance stays exactly where it is.

A note on sizing#

Fund the account with an amount you're comfortable trading, and size positions conservatively — especially for the first live runs. See Risk Management Basics and Deploying Live vs Paper.
