Bots & Templates Overview

Liquid Edge gives you several ways to get an automated strategy running, from zero effort to fully custom. Ready-made bots and templates sit in the middle: pre-built, configurable strategies you deploy in a few clicks.

The three ways to trade#

  1. Verified strategy templates — pick a ready-made, Liquid Edge–verified template and deploy it in one click. No setup, no code. The fastest path.
  2. Proprietary strategies — run strategies built and operated by Liquid Edge; you set your own sizing and risk parameters.
  3. Build your own — design a strategy from scratch in Strategy Studio, with full control over conditions and execution.

You can mix these — run a template while you build your own alongside it.

Bots and templates#

Liquid Edge includes ready-made bots that automate specific, well-known trading patterns — for example dollar-cost-averaging (DCA) and grid-style strategies — with more bot types planned over time. Each bot is a configurable pattern rather than a fixed black box: you choose the market, sizing, and risk, then deploy.

Strategy templates go a step further: a template comes with a starting set of conditions and execution rules, and you adjust its parameters and conditions — the indicators, price levels, timeframes, and logic that decide when it acts — to fit how you want to trade. Anything a template does can be extended in Strategy Studio when you want more control.

Which bots and templates you can access depends on your plan; see Plans & Pricing.

How to think about it#

  • Want live fast? Deploy a verified template or a ready-made bot and configure its parameters.
  • Want full control? Build your own in Strategy Studio, or start from a template and modify it.
  • Want it run for you? Use a proprietary strategy and just set your sizing.

Before you deploy#

Whichever path you choose, run it in paper mode first and size conservatively when you go live. See Deploying Live vs Paper and Building Conditions for how conditions signal a strategy to act.
